HOSPITAL TRUSTEES
The * monthly meeting- of the Hospital Trustees was held yesterday, Mr P. Miller being in the chair.
TSie House Oomxaxttee repeated that insurance of the Children’s and Victoria Wards in the saat of £3,500 had been renewed ; that Hr Stanley Batchelor hod been appointed to attend to Dr F. C. Batchelor's hospital work during the latter's absence at the Medical Conference at Adelaide; that the Children's and Victoria Wards bad: been thoroughly cleaned out and overhauled, and the wards were again occupied; a porter's office had been erected at the main entrance ; accommodation was just about completed fin the room lately occupied by the non. medical staff) for the X-ray apparatus, other arwimmnhitinn having been provided for the stall; the boiler hod_been re-covered with patent d'Hco, by which it was anticipated a great saving in coal would be effected; donations of books, periodicals, etc., had been received fren Ufa McDonald, Mias ' Cohen, mwf from Wainfc Hotel : Nurses E. Grigoc, A. B. Galbraith, and A. Miller had resigned, and Misses M. J. Brent and J. Oormick had tam appointed to the nursing staff.—The report was adopted. ’ The Finance Committee reported that receipts for tip month past were £2lO 18s 3d. indoding in-patients £175 9s sd; outpatients, £9 12s ; donations, £l9 16s ; sales, £6 Ob lOd. —Adopted. The return for the out-patient department for the peat month showed a total of 552 cases, including 252 old cases (103 male and 149 female) and 100 new eases (48 male mid 52 female). ' Mir J. M. E.
