HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The monthly meeting of the above body, held this afternoon, was attended by Messrs J. R. Sinclair (chairman), J. M. Gaflaway, and Dr Church.
Aooonnte amounting to £471 6s Id were passed for payment. The Chairman said, with regard to an inquiry, that the Board had done nothing in the matter of insuring teachers against accident.—The chairman was instructed to main- inquiries as to conditions and costs. A letter was received from George Wkhart giving up bis yearly tenancy of sections 4, block 22, and 45, block 21, quarry .reserves, Motoreta. —Received. A letter was received from D. B. Grant, lessee of sections 11 and 12, block 14, Strath-Taieri, -complaining that the Trier] Comity Council had done nothing to stop the water overflowing from the rood near his place-—Referred to the secretory to communicate with the Council on the. subject.
