MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
At the weekly meeting of the Lily of the Valley Lodge, 1.0. G.T., Bro. MTLinliiy presiding, tie Pioneer Lodge visited officially. A tea set was pra-enied to Sis. Johnston and Bro. Hill on the occasion of their marriage. The following responded to tho votes of thanks: —Sis. and Bro. M. Gonnell, a sister from Sydney and .1 brother from Alliance.
The weekly meeting of the Alliance Lodge, 1.0.GT., was held in, the Friendly Societies' Hall on Wednesday night, Bro. Ingram, 0.T., presiding. Two candidates were, initiated. Three members applied for credentials to take 1 Grand Lodge decree. The usual vote of thanks to the visitors was reqxmd'ed' to bv Sis. Cameron (Pioneer), Bro. M'Connell (Caversham), gad Bro. M'Akan (Evergreen). The Evergreen Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held their weekly meeting in the P.A. Hall, C.T. Bro. \V. Martin in the chair. Communications from the P.A. and Grand Lodge 3 were read and received. The item on the syllabus was a "Dutch auction," and an enjoyable evening was spent, the sum of 7s be.ng realised through the sale of various articles. Three members applied for Grand Lodge degree.
