CHRISTCHURCH, February 3. The musical arrangements in • connection with (die opening of the Roman Catbolk Cathedral are that Mrs Bums will sing the soprano solos, Mrs Costello (nee Kitty Blancy) taking the contralto. The term and bass solos wifi be taken by leading amateurs. There will be' a very strong orchestra, and the chorus will ba composed of the combined choirs of the new Cathedral and St. Marv’s, and
—nbers of the Dunedin, Wellington, Timam, and West Coast choirs. The principal work will be Gounod’s ‘Messe Soleneile.’ .
