GHRISTCHURCH, January 14. The Committee appointed by the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Association regarding the visit of Shrubß and Duffey have drawn up a programme for the twodays' meeting to be held at. Lancaster Park on March 17 and 18. It includes the fifteen usual New Zealand championship events, and four amateur cycling championship handicap events. Trophies valued at £BO are to be given for 'the athletic events, and gold and silver medals for cycling championships, for which valuable challenge cups are also offered. Eighty-seven houses are being erected in this city, and there are 138 unoccupied. Last year at this time about 250 houses were being erected, and there were fewer unoccupied houses.
