At the fortnightly meeting of Unity Lodge, 1.0.0. F., held in the Fncndly Hocicttes’ Hall, South Dunedin (N.G. Bro. W. C. Campbell presiding), Bro. J. n, Hinton, L. Kemnitz, and George Springer were nominated for ihe position, of Grand I/xlgc representatives for South Otago district. The secretary read tiro following statistics of the state of the Order at the end of 1903:—Net increase for the year 106,146 members; total membership’ 1.436.102: revenue for the vear, £2,689.939; relief expended in i903.’ £901,355; invested funds, nearly £7,000,000; total relief paid from the founding of the Order in 1830, £20,998,501. 'J his magnificent record of the Order's progress was received with hearty applause.
