ROSLYN CRICKET CLUB
The annual meeting of the Boslyn Cricket Club, adjourned from Friday, 16th inst, was held in the Roslyn Council Chambers on Thursday evening. Mr L. Goyen was voted to the chair, and there was a fair attendance. The report and balance-sheet, which showed a deficit of £2 14s 6d, were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing soasou;—President, Mr J. C. Thomson ; vice-presidents—Messrs R. T. Wheeler, jnn., L. Kemnitz, W. Wilkinson, J. Thomson, J. Glendining, and J. J. Clark; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Aspmall; general committee Messrs A. Knowles, C. Beeby, H.i Rigby, J. Araiit. and G. Reynolds; captain, Mr S. Goyen j deputy captain, Mr C. Anderson; practice captain, Mr S. Qoyen; delegate to 0.C.A., Mr J. Jamieson; audita*, Mr C. Anderson ; temporary match committee Messrs S. Goyen, C. Anderson, and L. Goyen. Twenty-ono new members were elected, and it was resolved that a team be entered for the second grade competition, and that the subscription ior memuersot the first eleven be 15s instead of 10s. The secretary was instructed to make all preparations for the opening practice, which will be held on Saturday next, October 1. . This condnded the business, and the meeting dispersed with a vote of thanks to the chair and the retiring office-bearers.
