On thy 19th Junnary. 1903. at Kurow. he was f>c.ntenced to three months' iropironmen' for obscene language.—His Fonnr senten'-ed accused to three years' imprisonment, with hard labor. _ Harold Hamilton, who had pleaded guilty n the lower court to breaking and enterin" tho warehouse of Messrs Bing, Harris, and Co , and stealing therefrom" jewellery of the value of £2on 10s, came up for'sentence. He gave his asre as twenty yeirv Crown Prosecutor said'that'accusal vas practically a stranger in the cnlonv. a hawker, and extremely clever at the husi ness of buying and sell in?. There was no need for him to embark "on house-break-ing, as he was thoroughly competent to CMrn his living out-ide of that.—His Hor-or s,':i.' the (ffenee was a serious one. The accused did not &eem to have been convicted before, and ra comparatively young, but the offence could not be p;issed over lightly. The accused would be sentence! to three years' imprisonment with hard labor The Court adjourned at 5.15 p.m.
