[By S.MAsunp.i _ ■ ifc . 53 ™dem o °d that the MdWn* Cricket Club have referred the question of inviting the Dohertys, (he famous lawu tennis players, to visit Australia., to the Lawn Tennis Committee of the club. A letter has noir been forwarded to England asking for certain information, and when this is obtained the whole matter will b« thoroughly threshed out. At the same tima the question of inviting two other players—such as two leading Americans—will also be discussed. Of Miss Brock, who won the ladies’ single championship at the recent lawn tennis tournament at Bloemfontein, a local newspaper remarks: “ Miss Brock is a siyfooter, finely made, divinely fair, and has a swift overhand service, which is very effective. ”
