GEO. ABBOTT’S MUSICAL COMEDY SEASON.
At the Princess's Theatre mi Wednesday evening next Air Geo. Abbott’s Musical Comedy Company inaugurate a season here with the production of the fascinating musical comedy ‘ The Gaiety Girl,’ described as provocative of laughter and fun from the rise to the fall of the curtain. The company, fifty strong, have been carefully selected from the principal theatres of London and Australia, while many old favorites are announced in the combination, chiefly among these being Mr Fred. H. Graham, who will be remembered for bis artistic performances in 1 San Toy ’ and ‘The Runaway Girl’ with Mr J. C. Williamson’s company ; also Miss Celia Mavis, formerly leading lady with Mr John F Sheridan. The chorus, numbering thirty male and female voices, are said to be vocally strong and attractive, w'bile a special feature is made of the full opera orchestra, under Heir Gustave Slapoffski. The costuming and setting of the comedies to be produced during the season are promised on a most lavish scale. The box plan will be opened at the Dresden on Friday morning.
