A DANGEROUS ADVISER. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 24. ‘The Times’s’ correspondent at Gyangtse states that recent events reveal the intrigues of M. Dorijieff, the Russian agent, who was formerly private chaplain to the Delai Lama, He adds that after the Chinese Ambon had defeated his projected Russian treaty plans, M. Dorijieff rashly announced that a small body of Cossacks, as a sign of Russia’s good-will, would enter Lhassa in the spring of 1903. His influence Ls possibly on the wane, but he still brazens the matter out. The recent receipt of Russian rifles lent color to hi*? promises. His influence, adds the correspondent, must be terminated at aU costs.
