White hats are all the rage in Paris just now ; indeed, the vogue is one of the most marked of the season. Such chapeaux are made of caracul, panne, and particularly of the swansdown cloth, and are trimmed with wreaths of flowers or flowing ostrich plumes. Jewelled shields with ' a feather thrust through tbem are also put on jauntily, and make a smart hat when some furlik'e material is used. AN OFFICIAL FRIEND.
