CRITICISM.
TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —Ycrar genial Irish correspondent who attacked the management of the conversazione recently given hero in honor of Lord Ranfurly, I think, clearly shows in tonight's issue of your journal that he has been dreaming again. In the course of conversation with myself in the Garrison Hall, " the kJle old man" expressed his delight with thß decorations, speeches, etc., pnd added : " The mayor looks remarkably well in his robes." After enjoying the music, songs, and recitations, and Mr Rayner's clever sketches, your correspondent admitted that he had alreadv phfiken hands with the Governor. If our Irish fellow-citizen wanted to dance before His Excellency the fun might have been enjoyed if the Committee had had the slightest* idea that the idW'a ambition remained in that movement. Ria letter is regarded as a good joke.—l am, etc., Lover 6v the Violin. ■ April 16.
