THE LOST SUBMARINE.

(Received April 18, at 9.10 a.m.) Lord Selborne, First Lord of the Admiralty, speaking at Bath, stated that the recovery of the remains of the optical tube and the marks on part of the conning towt-r showed that the submarine Al 'dived difectly it detected the liner. Three seconds fftord would have taken the submarine underneath, and presumably out of danger.
