COMMONWEALTH PROBLEMS.
'jFUTURE DIFFICULTIES
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON. April 6. (Received April 7, at 8.26 a.m.) "The Times,' commenting on the arduous problems confronting the Commonwealth Parliament, expresses anxiety as to Australia's future. Some of the demands of the Labor leaders regarding impending legislation would undoubtedly command the approval and sympathy of European Socialists. Referring to Sir G. Turner's sudden conversion of the State Treasurers, 'The Times' fears that the difficulties of applying the principle of his scheme for taking over the State debts will prove grave, keenly taxing the statesmanship both of the Federation and of the States.
