SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
She Albany street School Committee brio 1 t&err monthly meeting on Wednesday evening, when there were present Messrs H. E. Stephens (chairman), OShea, Ales. Dempster, W. Aitkea, W. R. Smith, A. Brooke. A quantity of routine business was attended to, and it -was decided to hold the annual picrrio at Ouiram on, February 5. The Education Board wrote acceding t» tLe Committee's request re the second assistant's salary; and as the Board had agreed to pay half-cost of kalsomaning several of the das 9 rooms, the Wotlcb Committee were authorised to have the work put in hand. As several scholars from the school had gained scholarships, the following resolution was carried unanimously :—" That the Committee record their very great pleasure at the eminently satisfactory results of the recent scholars-hip examinations of the Otago Education Board, and desire to express their sincere congratulation to the head-master am} staff on the excellent results of their labor." It was decided to communicate with the Board about repairs to the scnao* grounds.
