The strikers have secured an increase of 10 per cent, in their wages. DEFYING AN AWARD. EMPLOYERS WILL TAKE ACTION. SYDNEY, January, 15. The proprietors of the collieries thrown idle in Newcastle intend to take action to enforce the Arbitration Court award, which the miners refuse to obey, despite the advice of the officials «tf the Miners' Aasoeiftiian. .
