HAWKE'S BAY y. CANTERBURY. NAPIER, January 15. The Canterbury-Hawke's Bay match was resumed to-day in perfect weather. Callaway was clean bowled by Fenton when h.e had raised his score to 64. Wig}ey, who followed, sent his first ball to Macassey, and retired without scoring. The score at 12.15 stood at four wickets for 185, Ollivier being not out with 43, and Wheatky not out with 26. .OUivier and Wheatley caried the score to 215, when the latter was smartly caught by Hallamore behind the Wickets after compiling 45. OUivier gave Lusk a chance some time before this partnership was dissolved, but it was not accepted. Whitta filled the vacancy, and with Oliivier played out time to the luncheon adjournment, the p."ore standing at five for 245—Oliivier 75, Whitta 3. ' Shortly after resuming after lunch Oliivier was splendidly caught low down in the slips by Fenton after making 79. Reese filled the vacancy, and at 2.30 the score was six for 254. "
A team from'the H.M.S. Lizard will play the Mornington Club on the latter's ground to-morrow afternoon.
