CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. The yacht races postponed from the Lyh telton regatta were • sailed on Saturday. The following are the results;— First Class Yacht Race. 30ft lineal rating, over fifteen miles. First prize £6O, second £ls.—Kia Ora (J. H. Collins, Lyttelton), 33,5 linear rating, 12min 3sec, 1; Waitangi (Georgeson and Co., Wellington), 43.7 linear rating, scratch, 2; Roma (Crow and Hazlett, Dunedin), 30.2 linear rating, 18min 7sec, also started. The Roma crossed the line Imin 16sec ahead. The Kia Ora, however, won on time allowance by lOmin 47sec, The time when the yachts finished was: Waitangi, 3h 40min 33see p.m.; Kia Ora, 3h 41min 49seo pan.; Roma, 4h 9min p.m. Second Class Race, for yachts over 32ft water line, 10m. First prize £2O, second £lO, third £s.—Vildng (G. Thompson, Lyttelton), lOmin 50sec, 1; Waitiri (Neej Bros., Dunedin), 12min 30sec, 2; Onawa (R. Hatchwell), scratch, 3. Zephyr (M‘Nah Bros.), Imin, also started. Onawe led thrbughout, the others following, with varying fortune. In finishing the, first round Zephyr was in second place, with Viking third, and the Dunedin boat Waitin last. They crossed the lino in tha same order, the time when they finished being ns follows:—Ohawe, 4h Imin 50seo p.m.; Zephyr, 4h 3min 20sec p.m.; Viking, 4h 4min 15sec p.m.; Waitiri, 4h 6min 40sec p.m. Viking, won on her allowance by Bmin ssec from Onawe, Bmin 35sec from Zephyr, and 25sec from Waitiri. . Yacht Race Handicap, for yachts under 22ft water line,. 10m. First prize £l2, second £6, third £4. Twelve entries.— Swallow (G. W. Wearen), 9min 20sec, and Heresy (G. Andrews), 16min, dead heat; Meteor (E. Sinclair), 17min 30sec, 3. The Dunedin yacht Eileen led from the start till near the finish, when the Swallow took the lead and crossed the line first, with Eileen second and Waterwitch third. The times taken for the finish of the various boats were: Swallow (9min 30sec), 3h 37inin 27sec p.m.; Eileen (scratch), 5h 37min 29sec p.m. ; Waterwitch (scratch), 3h 37min 59sec p.m. ; Heresy (16min), 3h 43min 57sac p.m.; (9min 30sec), 3h 6min 57sec p.m. ; Meteor (17min 30sec), 3h-48min 27sec p.m.; Pareora (14min), ?h 48min 31sec p.m.; Lennox Lass (llmin 30scc), 3h 51min 57sec p.m.; Pakeba (17miu 30sec), 3h 55min 40sec p.m.
