BERLIN', December 14.
A deputation from the German Workmen's Congress, held at Frankfort, appealed to Count Yon Bulow to give legislative effect to the Congress's proposals in favor of the extension of the right of coalition, recognition of trades unions, and the formation of Chambers of Labor composed of employers and workmen. Count Von Bulow premised earned practical consideration. He declared that the Kaiser's earnest desire was to make the Germans the best-off workmen in the world.
A UNION FIXED
TRUSTS WILL OPPOSE ROOSEVELT.
NEW YORK, December 14. (Received December 15, at 8.49 a.m.)
A trade union in Chicago has been fined in its corporate capacity for interfering either with the business or employees of various firms. This is the first conviction of its' kind in the United States.
A fund of half a million sterling, largelv sub--cribed by Trust magnates, has been formed for the purpose of defeating Mr Roosevelt's renomination for the Presidency.
