THE HIGH STREET SEWER.

TO TITE EUIIOB. Sir,—Scores of times I liaxe. seen th« Corporation laborers at work clearing out tbe silt, in the High street sewer, so Is to prevent its being blocked or "choked up" during the time of heavy floods. What I wish to call attention to is this: the " man-holes" through which the Corporation workmen descended into th*sewer for the purpose of clearing out the silt are now covered over with concicto and " other mixtures" connected with the formation or construction of the "permanent way" for the electric cars, and t-o gives the unprofessional the impression that the flood and other waters will be diverted through : 'siltless" sewers or channels unknown at the present time to our innocent ratepayers.—l am. etc., \xc.4-rr October 28.
