The Kconya, from Oamaru and the West Coast, arrived yesterday evening, and was bertbid at the Jetty street wharf. She sails again on, her usual running on Thursday afternoon.

The oil launch Standard, which was brought down here by the Tarane, and is now on Davis's slip, has been inspected during the past two days by a large number of sightseers. A somewhat deep immersion of hex propeller has been obtained by a steel stay under her, a large part of her shaft is exposed, and the propeller itself is stuated about 4ft forward of the point where her stern leaves the water. Her principal measurements are: Length, 36ft; beam, 6ft 3m. She is fitted with a IS horse-power "Standard " oil csngine. capable of developing a speed of 12 knots on a consumption of fgal of benzine per hour. Inside, ner lifciie saloon is very prettily upholstered. The Home liner Rahgatira was sighted twelve miles to the southward from the Heads tliis morning, and armed thera abont 1 p.m. She will probably get in on the evening's tide, and bring up in the powder ground, in order to discharge some 20 ton?: of explosives which she nas on, board. The Rangatira is drawing 16ft forward and 18ft Sin aft, and is to steam up to Dunedin on to-morrow's tide.
