In the announcement of results of the theory examinations of the Associated Board R.A.M. and R.C.M., held in June last, the following candidate’s name was omitted accidentally: —School harmony, lower division, pass, Mary Delargy, 78 marks. Amongst the passengers by the Warrimoo from Sydney, which arrived at Wellington to-day, were Sir James Hector (who abandoned his trip to the Rocky Mountains owing to the death of his son), Mr C. H. Reynolds, general manager of the Pacific Cable (who visits Wellington to interview Sir Joseph Ward); and Mr G. G. Stead, of Christchurch. Mr Wallace, of the New Zealand football team, also returned, having recovered from his injury. Our parliamentary reporter wires that Mr Justice Cooper’s resignation as president of the Arbitration Court has been received, and that Mr Justice Chapman has been appointed. Captain Irvine, accompanied by Mrs Irvine (nee Miss Rose Blaney), were passengers for the North by the Tarawera today. They join the Turakina at Wellington, and proceed by her to England Mr P.
