LATE COMMERCIAL.

We have been shown an " economtio selfacting valve for grates" which has been patented by Mr. W. Robertson, of this City, and is now being ottered to the public. It is strongly made of iron, and is being made in various sizes to suit different grates—the common size being 12in by lOin. The article is at once a local idea and a local product, and from the written testimonials which appear in this issue from well-known people, who have tried it, it appears to throw greater heat into the room than the ordinary grata, and also reduces the consumption of fuel. Mr Robertson's patent may be seen at Messrs Paterson and Barr'a and Messrs Torrance and dough's.
