BENEFIT CONCERT.

On Saturday we published the programme for the above concert, to be held in the Choral Hall next Wednesday evening. This concert is under the auspices of the Loyal Albion Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., and patronage of the officers of the Otago district. Mr Docherty, who is a member of the Albion Lodge, was compelled about two and a-half years Tgo to cease woric owing to chronic inflammation of the ankle bone. He has undergone two severe operations, and although he is slowly recovering it will be some time yet before he is fit to resume work. A distressing feature of the case if that Docherty is the main support of hii widowed mother and bis two young sisters. The Order of Oddfellows have made several donations from their funds, and the members of the Albion Lodge have raised subsorptions among themselves, bnt this has not been sufficient to relieve the distress, hence the concert. The cause is deserving, and the programme a good one. and there should be no difficulty in filling the Choral Hall
