CONSECRATING A BISHOP.
AUCKLAND, May 21. Dr Neligan, Bishop-elect .of Auckland, was consecrated at St. Mary's Cathedral today before an immense congregation. The Bishops of Dunedin, Christchurch, Nelson, and Waiapu took part, besides a large procession of clergy and officials. Lord Ranfurly attended. Numbers of Nonconfoimists were present, including representatives of the Ministers' Association, Presbyterians, Wesleyans, and others. Admission was by ticket, and quite 1,000 were refused for want of space. Bishop Julius preached.
