' CHRISTCHURCH, May ML The trial of Wilfred Badger for criminal libel against Henry Slater, solicitor, was continued this morning, when the case for the prosecution closed. Mr Jellicoe, for the defence, submitted a number of technical points; also the reasons why there was r.o case for the jury. The Judge (Mr Justice Williams) reserved the point whether the magistrate’s order was sufficient, bat only noted the other points raised. No evidence was called for the defence, but Mr JeDkoe addressed the jury at considerable length.
