WILLIAMSON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
‘Secret Service’ was produced for the third time at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, and attracted another large audience. Mr Cnyler Hastings, as Lewis i)umont, Mr H. Hamilton Stewart as Mr Burton Arrelsford, Mr F. HolTna as Wilfred Varney, Mr F. L. Hare as Brigadier-gene-ral Nelson Randolph, Miss Mabel Lane as Mrs Varney, Miss May Chevalier as Edith Varney, and Miss Florrie Oleeson as Caroline Mitford sustained their various characters with credit to themselves and satisfaction to the audience; in fact, all the members of the company are seen to advantage in this drama. The piece is well staged, and the interest in the development of the plot well sustained from the opening scene to the fall of the curtain in the last, act. To-night ‘ Secret Service ’ will be produced for the last time, when doubtless another large audience will be present. Mr Wilson Barrett’s dramatisation of Hall Caine’s novel, ‘The Christian,’ will occupy the boards to-morrow and the two following nights, with Mr Ouyler Hastings as John Storm and Miss May Chevalier as Glory Quaylc.
