The objeerts: of the said Application and Bill are as follows: ■ ‘ -- 1. To amend “ The Pr<"s>jrclham Church of Otago Lands- Act, ’ 1866,” by declaring or enacting: that--all trusts, powers, and authorities on which Section numbered fonr. (4) on the Record map of the North-east Valley' District is and has been held shall cease and determine. ;' ’ 2. To provide tbit after the passing of the said proposed Bill ’or Act the said Section four f4)’shall be held by and vested in the Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property in : trust as a site for the erection: and maintenance of a College or other Educational Institution. V. - 3. To amend “ The Dunedin Church Lands Ordinance; 1861,” and “The Dunedin Presbyterian ’Church Lands Ordinance Amendment ’’Ordinance, 1874,” by declaring or enacting that the whole rent* profits, and proceeds now held, or which may arise from ReservtPNo. S and Block No. 51 of the City may be held in trust for or Applied towards the erection and maintenance of a College or - other Educational Institution on the said Section four (4). 4. To provide-'tbit the said Board may, until the ere&on of any snch College or Institution, lease-jut’br any part of the said Section four (4), and after the erection of any. such College or Institution any part of the said Section which, in the opinion of the said Board, shall*; not he required for the actual site of any building, upon snch terns, provisions, and conditions as the said Board may think fit, and in particular if the Board so think fit upon the terms, provisions, and conditions set out in the. form of lease usually granted, by the Board, and to accept surrenders of any snch leases. 5. To provide that, from the passing of the proposed Bill or Act the whple rents, •issues, profits, and proceeds arising from the said Section four (4) shall be applied towards the erection and maintenance of the said College or other Institution. 6. To provide that any of the said rente issues, profits, and proceeds may’ until applied a? jfwresaid, be invested in Government,' Miinicipal, or real property securities for. accumulation.
A copy of the said Petition and Bill will be deposited in the office of the Framing 0 f Standing Orders within fourteen days after the commencement of the said session.
