LUCKY ENFIELD BABY.
A little baby -irl in Enfield hae become quite famous. All the neighbors in the disirict are talking of her wonderful good fortune. “ Baby Ethel was only sax months old when she fell ill,” says Mrs M. J. Jones, of Enheld, Waitaki, near Oamaru, “and but for Dr Williams's pink pills I do not believe she would be alive to-day. Fits of terrible soughing racked her frail little body. H, r little lungs became congested, and she faded away till she was piteously thin, pale, and weak. Sometimes she was feverish, bonictimes almost shivering. All food disagreed Wlt £ her - Her blood was so poor than none of her organs had strength to do their i per work or to resist disease. At last, th doctors told me she had consumption of lit bowels. Sharp pains pierced her throne i; andl through, and kept her awake night afi i mght. She cried until she was ofien tne weak to open her mouth—and then she would fall asleep. Teething troubles made b-■ worse. The doctor at last said she might live only a fortnight, but certainly not more than four months. She was simply fadin'* away before our eyes. Then,” added Mrs ndf 6 ®’ i go[-Ethel some Dr Williams’s pink f‘j S , as . 1 had heard of them curm 0 other little babies. Of course I was very particular to get Die genuine kind in wooden boxes, and to see that the package had the Wellington, New Zealand, address. I followed carefully the directions for children— W C 'rn! U!n,; L th n P i,ls worked marvels for her. They actually made new blood. Gradually they settled her stomach, lessened th» cough and made her sleep bettor. Then tin* new blood conquered the consumption in th* bowels, just as they conquer and cure consumption, influenza, decline, debility, spinal weakness, paralysis, and locomotor ataxia in pown-up folks. Eihel is now a fine, siron" healthy child. Everybody round about Em field and Waitaki knows my lauehing little girl and they all know what saved 'h<vr from death when she was just a baby.”—[Advt ]
