Cavebsham. —The fortnightly meeting of the Borough Connell was hold last evening, there being present—the Mayor (Mr J. Wilson) and Cra Burgess, Rutherford, R. Wilwn, Carpenter, Cole, MThcrson, Buddy, Huston, Searie, and Ewing.—The Finance Committee recommended that the Council charge the Drainage Board for collecting rate for the ensuing year 10 per cent, on the amount collected, the charge to' include stationery, etc. In regard to the South Dunedin Council’s letter, it was reported that there are seven lamps on Cargill road, all being on the South Dunedin side. The Council paid half-cost of erection and lighting of three of these lamps, and there wore two lamps on Forbury road to which the South Dunedin Connell should contribute a portion of the cost. Seeing this, the Committee could not recommend that the request be granted. , The report was approved.—The Works Committee's report, t'.ry Committee recommended the Council to supply the new township at Hillside w;th water in 2in and l£in pipes.
