WUBam Coates, a boy, reading with his parents at North-east Valley, wls playing with some other boys at moving the railway trucks standing at the siding at Outram yesterday, with the result that he cot underneath, and had his foot badly crusted. The lad, who had been playing truant, *as removed to the Dunedin Hospital, where it was necessary to amputate part of the foot . HAWERA, April 11 A nme-year-old girl named Kerrisk, the daughter of a farmer at Manutalu, died from shock at the Patea Hospital through being burned somewhat about the body.
