PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. [Spbcivl to ths St*r.] WELLINGTON, March 18 I hear that Messrs Feirn and Gibb, statiomnasters at Riverton and Milton, are to retire shortly under the railways' superannuation scheme.
Staff .changes are pending as follow: Mr Russell, stationmaster at Kingston transferred to Ahaura; Mr Hislop, stationmaster at Seaclirf, to Kingston ; Mr Meggett, clerk at Dunedin, promoted to b« stationmaster at Seacliff; Mr Stoned Ahaura, to Riverton; Mr Pearson PunJ kanui, to Auckland; Mr Fraser, ' Oxford West, to Lumsden ; Mr Pearce, Lumsden, to Milton; Mr Downes, clerk at Dunedin' goes to Oxford Wert. '
