ELECTIONS OF TRUSTEES.

Tho annual meeting of contributors and life governors of tlio Otago Benevolent Institution, for the pnrposo of electing two trustees, the period for which Mr W. T. Talboys and Mr W. Burnett were elected having expired, was fixed for 3 p.m. to-day, but it was nearly 3.20 before a quorum appeared. Mr P. Treseder was elected chairman. The fortieth annual report created no discussion, being adopted without comment. On the motion of Mr J. T. Mackerras, seconded bv Mr A. J. Wynn, Messrs Talboys and Burnett wero re-elected, and that ended the business.

The meeting at the hospital for the purpose of electing two trustees resulted in the unanimous re-election of Mr J. M. Brown and Mj William Wright, on the motion of Mr B. M. Clark, seconded by Mr A. Gillies. There were no other nominations.
