TRAGEDY IN NORTH QUEENSLAND.

. An awful family tragedy is reported by tbe police from Nahongo, in the Burnett district, about 200 miles from Brisbane. Tbe police report states that a selector named Albert May resided with his family on Worrolin, about thirty-five miles from Nauango. May went to the bouse of his brother, Julius May, a short distance away, at about four o’clock on Saturday morning, and stated that his wife had killed her four children, and then shot herself. Albert then returned to his home. Julius May, accompanied by a neighbor, quickly followed. On aproachinpg the house the two heard a shot, and on entering they found Albert lying on a stretcher shot through the mouth. They plso found the bodies of Mrs May and thrde children, the fourth, a baby, was gasping for breath. The neighbors then sent for the Narrange police.
