[From Ore Own Reporter.] HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, Re Messrs Christopher, Ma’lard, and South, who petitioned asking for an inquiry into the circumstances connected with their removal from the Commission of the Peace and re’.ief, the Petitions Committee reported that they have no recommendation to make. Tbe remain'ng local Bills on (he Order Paper wire put through all their stages. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. On the Minister’s motion the Council agreed not to insist on its amendment in the Old Age Pensions 811, and it was decided to sit at 11.30 to-morrow forenoon. The Council agreed to. accept the House's amendments on the Fisheries Conservation Bill, which accordingly becomes law.
