MR REITZ'S INSOLENCE.
Mr Balfour, in the House of Commons, in answer to a question from M.- Markham, said that the following is the only correspondence the Transvaal and Orange Free State wuch has not yet been published: State Secretary, S.A. As there are now many English troops hern prisoners of war and your Government prevent the importation of foodstuffs into this Republic, I ask ycu to give instructions for provisions to be allowed to reach the prisoners. The biame will be on you if we, to our shame, should be* driven to feed the prisoners (the number of whom is greater than had been anticipated) on mealie porridge, which has not yet bee done.
