Each team comprised ei-hc ladies. Mr F. C. Lie gins acted as judge, and the exe-eises on the horse and parallel bars were set by Mr K. S. Wilson. The exercise.® were made up as follows:—Horse 4, parallels 4, and club exercises by both clubs. All the movements were well executed, and Miss Mowat and Mr 6. Balfour deserve credit for the manner in which 'hey have brought their respective clubs on. Both teams gave a fine exh.b tion of club-swinging. In this item the Trinity Club beat the High street Club by 2 points, scoring 82 to High street’s 80 The competition, however, resulted in the High street team proving victorious by 461 points to Trinity’s 425. Miss Caradus (High street) scored the highest aggregate—viz., 68 points. Mis# Baker (High street), 64, came next, being closely followed by Miss J. Clark with 63 and Miss Findlay (Trinity) 56 points. This was the first ladies’ team competition arranged under the auspices of the Otago Gymnastic Association, and judging by its success last night it is hoped that it will only be the forerunner of other competitions. CRICKET. The season o! the Albion’s Winter Gib was brought to a close last evening with a most enjoyable time in the pavilion, cards, quoits, and ping-pong being indulged in. Close on fifty members were present. Mr D. Thomson announced that Mr L. Joel was again to the fore, and bad presented the club with a. handsome set of crockery, etc. The club would therefore be able to dispense afternoon tea to the 'visiting teams in fitting style. ‘For he’s a jolly good fellow ’ was then sung with vigor. An amstyir harrier club has been formed at Christchurch.
