MELBOURNE, August 19. (Received August 19. at 10.21 a.m.)
The postal and telegraphic services-oi the Commonwealth for last year resulted in a loss of over £46,000, though the New South Wale 3, Victoria, and South Australian departments made a profit of £33,000. Sir 6. Turner delivers the Federal Budget about the beginning of October. He expects the Tariff •will shew a return of about £8.542,000.
