MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
The -Enterprise Lodge, U.A.0.D., hcl.l their usual meeting at the Friendly Societies' Hall, South Dunedin, on Thursday evening, the A.D., Bro. C. J. Foley, presiding. The secretary presented the half-yearly balancesheet, which showed that satisfactory progress was being made, the accumulated funds now standing at £1,426. One candidate was initiated. D.P. Bro. Oldenburg, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. Orchard, installed the following officers.—J.P.A., Bro. C. J. Foley; A.D., Bro. James Stewart, jun.; V.A., Bro. James Bandeen; secretary, Bro. W. Wardrop (reelected) : treasurer, Bro G. P. Stewart [re- ] elected); 1.G., Bro. C P. Barkinshaw: 0.G., j Bro. James Rackley; A.D. Bards, Bros. E. j Osborne aiid James Stewart, sen.; V.A. ; Bards, Bros. J. Hanson and B. J. Frew. A vote of thanks was passed to D.P. Bro. Oldenburg. The D.P. presented a framed P.A. diploma to Bro. B. A. Stokes, and teferred to the manner in which he had fulfilled his duties as an officer of the lodge. Bro. Stokes suitably responded. The D.P. also presented to Bro. A. Lamb a suitably-inscribed silvei plate, the gift of P.A. Bro Jam°js Conniff for services rendered to the lodge ?,nd Order. Bro. Lamb returned thanks.
