The Minester of Lands was interrogated by Mr Arnold yesterday afternoon with respect to the steps being taken for the ac qnirement of land for workmen's homes in the vicinity of Dunedin. The Hon. Mr Duncan said that two properties—one at Green Island, the other at Anderson Bay—had been under the consideration of the Land Purchase Commissioners, but neither had been considered suitable. Representat.ons had been made regarding what was known as Cutten's property, and the Land Purchase Commissioners had been instructed to visit the place.
