Further rain and the luncheon interval delayed resumption of play till three o’clock. The batsmen continued to severely punish the bowling, and the score mounted rapidly. Duff had reached 90 when he was bowled by Wilson with a beautiful ball. He was 130 minutes at the wickets, and played faultless cricket. His score included eight fourers. Noble p&yed a sound game.
