STEAMSHIP TROUBLES IN WANGANUI.

WANGANUI, July 10. A stormy meeting of shareholders in the Up-river Settlers’ Steamship Company was held yesterday afternoon. It was reported that the had lost over £2.000 in two years, and the management was severely criticised. An offer from Messrs Hatrick and Co., proprietors of the rival line of feteamers, of £3,000 for the Aotea was refused, and the meeting was adjourned for a fortnight, with the view of securing further capital and changing tho management.
