HA WEB A, July 10. At the Police Court Raymond BarrBrown, charged with false pretences, was discharged, ,lhe magistrate being of opinion that there was no fraudulent intent. John Ley don was committed for trial on a charge of setting fire to tho Commercial Hotel (Manaia). He is also charged with firing the stables of tho same hotel.
PALMERSTON NORTH, July 10. The Canterbury A. and P. Association, baring decided to hold their annual show on November 12, 15. and 14, the dates appropriated by the Mannwatu A. and I’. Association in May last, the Finance Committee of the latter-Association met this morning, and decided with the Canterbury Association, and also to hold an emergency meeting of the General Committee on Saturday to discuss ttejCfituation. ’ A
