The quantity of coal exoorted from Westport last month was 41,078 tons. The Queensland revenue returns for the year disclose a deficit of £32,000 SHEEP SALES. A consignment on account of Mr Scales, Wellington, New Zta'and. realised—l 26 wethers at 31s 43 at 375, 29 at 2*3, 49 ewes at 295. CANTERBURY FROZEN MEAT COMPANY. CHRISTCHURCH. July 4.—Mr G. Humphreys, a member of the mercantile firm of Fletcher and Humphrey?, has been elected a director of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, in place of the late Mr. J. Deans ; and Sir George Clifford has been appointed chairman of directors.
