DOCK TRUST.
The regular meeting of the Trust was attended yesterday afternoon by the Hon. II Gourley, Messrs J. Thomson and N. Dodds. In the absence of Mr F.. G. Allen, M.H.R. (the chairman), Mr J. Thomson was voted to the chair. An apology was received from Mr Park (Mayor of Dunedin). —The Finance Committee reported that there was a credit balance of £548 15s at the bank to the Trust account. The Works Committee reported re tenders for repairs to sheer-legs, wharf, dolphin, and new dolphin, that after having examined the different tenders they have accepted the lowest, Messrs M'Kechnie and Fleming’s (£287). The reports were adopted.—Mr Gonrley said that the chairman (Mr Allen) would be away in Wellington before the next meeting of the Trust, and proposed that Mr J. Thomson be acting-chairman during the absence of Mr Allen. This was seconded by Mr Dodds, and carried.—lt was resolved, on the motion of Mr Gourley, that in future the meetings of the Trust be held on the last Wednesday of each month.—The Trust then went into committee.
