A FOUR-SHILLING LUNCH.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Of all the extravagant ideas in connection with the Coronation, rurely a 4s lunch to the veterans “takes the cake.” Whit the d ekens do they want with a 4s luncheon —un.e s there are a great number of deadheads? I will venture to say, sir, that if you gave them a ' d nner such as our hotels, etc., could turn out for 2s a head, and made them a present of a twoshilling piece in add tion, the m jnritv would be far better plea ed. I sincerely hope that this most' extravagant and wasteful idea of a 4s ‘unch will not be carried out. It is simply "tommy rot.’’—l am, etc., A.C. June 17.
