RAILWAY RETURNS.
The returns fur !he four-weekly period ended March 1 show that the, revenue of the North Island section was £65,274, ivainst £57,892 for the corresponding period of 1901; while for the Middle Island the figures were £95,817 and £92,887 respectively. The expenditure on the North Island section amounted to £33,481, or 70.31 per cent, of revenue earned ; while on the Middle Island section the figures were £60,388. or 65.39 per cent. The detailed returns of the Huninui-Bluff section for the same four-weekly period are:
