CONGREGATIONAL UNION.

At the final sitting of the Congregational Church Union, held at Auckland on Saturday, it was resolved that the question of begin ing Congregational services at Invercargill should receive the careful consideration of the Committee. The sum of £SO was lent to the Nelson Church for the period of three years. It was resolved—- “ That as the extreme difficulty of regulating the liquor traffic is becoming more and more apparent, despite the efforts of the police, this Council desire to see a large increase of no-licenso votes at the local option poll nest December.”
