(Received February 17, at 9.44 a.m.) Herr Herman Sumpt, director of the Trcber-Trochnung Company, which recently failed with large liabilities, has been sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment, and the other directors to less terms, for concealing the state of affairs of the company. [ln June last-there were several bank suspensions in Berlin. One of these, .he 3/eipziger Bank, bad advanced the TreberTrochnung Company, of Cass cl, about £4,350,000, or £1,150,000 beyond their share capital. One firm had to cease work, 3.000 hands being thrown out of employment. The managing director absconded. Sumpf was arrested early in July.]
